The  GLIDE Presentation

Our  presentation, delivered by a diverse panel of speakers, explores the  pervasiveness, myths and underpinnings of homophobia through an interactive  discussion appropriate to ages of audience members. Participants regularly affirm heightened awareness of LGBT concerns after a GLIDE engagement.

In the presentation, GLIDE speakers:

  • Challenge popularly held assumptions about gays, lesbians and sexual minorities.
  • Provide accurate information about LGBT bias.
  • Share their own experiences with homophobia and coming out.
  • Generate an open, honest dialogue with the audience.

“The GLIDE speakers didn’t change my views on others, but my view on myself.”
Mt. San Antonio College student

“GLIDE presenters have been able to engage our students in meaningful and interactive discussions.  It is clear that the presenters have a special quality that makes students feel comfortable enough to ask questions about a topic that can be emotionally charged.”
Licensed social worker, Santee Education Complex
